Custom World Cup 2006 Ball


In this tutorial I will learn you how to create this custom World Cup 2006 ball.

Start by opening this picture using Photoshop.

 

Search for a picture over the internet with Germany’s national flag or take it from here and open it using Photoshop.

Now select the Eliptical Marquee Tool(M).Like in the picture.

Select the flag and draw a circle from the up-left corner to down-right corner.

The press CTRL+C to copy the selection.Now select the picture with the ball and press SHIFT+CTRL+N to create a new layer.No press CTRL+V to paste the selected circle.Press CTRL+N to resize the selection so it the same dimensions like the ball.

 

Now go to Layer>Layer style>Blending options.

 

There make these settings.

Here select Foreground to transparent like in the picture.

 

By now you should obtain this.

 

Now select the opacity to 70%.

 

You will obtain this.

    If you change the blend mode to Multiply (for the German Flag experiment to find the best one for other flags) the color does’nt look as washed out in the final image, just a little something I found.
